Year-End Planning: W-2 and ACA Preparations
- To avoid errors in year-end filings, please review your employee data beforehand. Correcting errors now will save time and effort when issuing W-2 and 1094/1095 forms.
- If you plan to file ACA with Humanic Global Solutions this year, please inform your Project Manager to begin preparations. Please note the following 2023 changes for paper vs. electronic filing:
- Reduced electronic filing threshold. Beginning with the 2023 tax year (2024 filing year), taxpayers who file ten or more information returns in aggregate must file electronically. The reduced threshold applies to ACA returns. Click here for complete IRS guidelines.

Schedule your JAMIS HCM 12.18 Upgrade!
This latest release includes significant enhancements to the user experience for Onboarding and Performance, as well as resolutions to a number of reported items. Due to the impact these enhancements have on self-service and client customizations, this upgrade must be scheduled independently. In the past, JAMIS has scheduled HCM upgrades to occur outside of business hours across all clients simultaneously. Please submit a request to schedule your upgrade through support@jamis.com when you are ready to move forward. A JAMIS representative will reach out to discuss the next steps.
JAMIS Prime and the New Alabama Overtime Exemption Law
For the tax year beginning on or after January 1, 2024, overtime pay received by a full-time hourly wage paid employee for hours worked above 40 in any given week are excluded from gross income and therefore exempt from Alabama state income tax. Tied with this exemption are employer reporting requirements to ALDOR. Employers must report the total aggregate amount of overtime paid and the total number of employees who received overtime pay.
