General description
We are seeking a dependable, people-friendly ERP Support Technician to strengthen the front line of our SaaS Hosting & IT Support team. This role is all about consistency, responsiveness, and excellent customer interaction. You don’t need to be a deep technical engineer—just someone who can stay organized, communicate well, and keep the support engine moving.
You will work directly with customers, manage the support queue, coordinate upgrades and updates, perform routine admin tasks, and escalate issues when needed. If you enjoy structured work, steady communication, and helping people solve everyday hosting and IT questions, this is a strong fit.
Responsibilities
JAMIS Prime ERP Customer Support & Communication
- Serve as a primary, customer-facing contact for JAMIS Prime ERP application support.
- Assist customers with day-to-day JAMIS Prime usage, access issues, and general application questions.
- Provide clear, patient, and professional communication via ticketing systems, email, and collaboration tools.
- Set and manage customer expectations while ensuring follow-through and accountability.
- Support a diverse customer base with varying technical and ERP proficiency levels.
Support Operations & Ticket Management
- Monitor, triage, prioritize, and manage the JAMIS Prime ERP support queue throughout the day.
- Ensure tickets are updated, routed, and closed efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain strong responsiveness and adhere to internal SLAs and response-time standards.
- Keep a continuous pulse on customer activity and needs.
Routine Admin & Hosting Tasks
- Perform routine support tasks related to JAMIS Prime ERP, including user access assistance, basic troubleshooting, and environment checks.
- Perform setup, configuration, and ongoing administration of JAMIS Prime ERP hosted systems.
- Process tenant deletion requests in accordance with approved procedures and controls.
- Coordinate and schedule customer system updates and upgrades.
- Execute administrative steps required during update/upgrade events.
Escalation & Coordination
- Coordinate, schedule, and assist with JAMIS Prime system updates and upgrades.
- Act as a first-level escalation point for routine JAMIS Prime ERP, hosting, and IT-related questions.
- Recognize when issues need to be escalated to senior engineers, DevOps, or cloud operations.
- Provide clean, complete documentation to ensure smooth handoff and quick resolution.
Team & Culture
- Be consistently available and responsive during business hours.
- Support a positive, collaborative support culture focused on customer satisfaction and operational reliability.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience in customer support, application support, operations, or IT support roles, including user interaction.
- Experience supporting business applications or ERP-style systems in a customer-facing environment.
- Strong background in managing digital systems, records, and workflows.
- Familiarity with Windows and modern productivity platforms (Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive).
- Basic understanding of system administration concepts (user accounts, access control, troubleshooting).
- Experience working with ticketing or case-management systems.
- Highly organized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Clear communicator with strong interpersonal and documentation skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a structured, process-driven environment.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen based in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Experience supporting ERP systems, financial systems, or project-based business applications.
- Experience supporting JAMIS Prime ERP or similar SaaS ERP platforms.
- Exposure to networking fundamentals, basic connectivity troubleshooting, or Active Directory.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, or reporting tools.
- Experience coordinating system updates, upgrades, or operational change events.
- Background in compliance-driven or regulated environments.
