What’s in JAMIS Prime 8.0 Update 7?
JAMIS Prime 8.0 Update 7 has the enhancements listed below, as well as resolutions for a number of issues.
- We redesigned the Contracts/Projects/Invoices/Direct Jobs/Indirect Jobs forms to use the state workflow engine instead of automation steps. Now you select a status from the Actions menu on the form toolbar, rather than selecting a status from a Status dropdown list.
For each of these WBS entities, we also merged the business planning version of the form with the main version of the form. Now you can manage each entity using a single form. The business planning versions of the forms are obsolete now. We’ll remove them from the site map in JAMIS Prime 8.0 Update 8. Going forward, you should use only the main version of the forms.
- We added a new form, Employee Planning Templates (WM2020JM). This form lets you create employee planning templates with a set of employee/labor category combinations, as well as other employee planning defaults such as a cost element and standard rate. If you have direct jobs or indirect jobs with the same set of employee/labor category combinations, you can use an employee planning template to mass assign those employee/labor category combinations to multiple jobs.
- We enhanced the Expense Summary form to be more printer-friendly when you export to Excel, such as making totals a row rather than a footer. Expense Summary is now accessible from the Expense Management form as well as the Expense Report form. We also added an Expense Report Summary inquiry for accounts payable users.
- We added an option on the Cash Sales form to create billing and/or revenue milestones for cash sale line items. Nonprofit customers that receive money as grants against contracts can create cash sales to bring the money into the system, then use this new feature to create revenue milestones prior to recognizing the revenue.
