JAMIS is currently seeking a dynamic, high-performing Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Sales team. As a BDR, you will be the engine of our growth. Your mission is to identify, engage, and qualify high-potential accounts, acting as the first point of contact between JAMIS and future clients. You will bridge the gap between marketing and sales, turning cold prospects into strategic opportunities for our Account Executive team.
Key Objectives and Responsibilities:
- Generate top of funnel new business leads through industry and target market research, prospecting, cold calling, social selling, and any and all outbound methodologies
- Respond to inbound marketing leads promptly and diligently
- Identify prospect’s needs and suggest appropriate products/services
- Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and sales executives
- Build market awareness of JAMIS product and services offerings
- Maintain the required volume of prospecting activity including calls, emails, & social selling
- Utilize Salesforce.com CRM to record all call and email activities
- Attend events both in-person and virtually when assigned by manager. The sales & marketing team will represent the JAMIS brand and develop contacts into sales leads. Business Development Representatives will be required to attend at least one event per month.
- Report to manager with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results
Required Skills / Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrated successful sales experience in software or technology industry; verifiable track record of exceeding expectations
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Business or a related field or equivalent experience
- Strong subject matter knowledge or industry experience ideally with ERP or related SaaS software and/or selling to the Federal Government Contracting space
- Excellent consultative and interpersonal skills that have resulted in business relationships of impeccable trust, confidence, and results
- Able to understand complex content and relate content around industry issues, client needs, and JAMIS service offerings
- Demonstrated ability to develop and lead relationship building activities with C-Level executives
- Ability to travel as necessary
